Life Update

Hello my dearest Dreamers

I hope this post finds you well. I just wanted to pop in real quick and do a quick update, in effort to keep up with posting more on the blog.

Tomorrow I am launching the preview of two new digital mini kit collections that will be available coming soon! I am pretty excited to share those with you, but in the mean time you can check out my It's Just the Beginning 2017 collection that is already in my shop!

Classes started up again this week and I can already tell it's going to be a long semester. I am pretty much done with my core classes (minus two science classes that weren't available this semester when I did early registration. So this semester I get to take Principles of MicroeconomicsUniversity Studies (because I didn't have enough credits when I transferred to this school to opt out of this class), Business Statistics, and Business Communications.

I take Econ every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 0900, I take University Studies every Monday and Wednesday at 1400, Business Statistics is Tuesday and Thursdays at 0900, and Business Communications is every Tuesday and Thursday at 1230. I have 3 teachers who are from other countries and English isn't their first language. Being an air traffic controller helped prepare me for this after spending a year in Afghanistan and trying to understand what they said. My Econ teacher's accent isn't that bad, he just talks really quietly. My Stat's teacher accent is kind of iffy and she can't hold my attention very well so far. My University Studies teacher has the heaviest accent and her voice is kind of high pitched, so all her words ran together and I am only partially sure of what she was saying. I am not passing judgement on them because they have accents..... I am making a simple note of how their accents potentially might effect my semester in my ability to follow what they are saying.

That all being said, I've already decided to get a jump on the first chapter in each class because I can tell this isn't going to be a cake walk. Since these aren't common classes, I have a bunch of new vocabulary words that I need to learn and all that fun stuff that isn't that fun. So for the past couple of evenings I've spent my free time reading through the chapters and making notes of what I think is important. I've written up pretty much all of the vocabulary words for each class so I can study them and know what I am learning about.

Thankfully my friend Jakki (she was in my English class last semester) and I are in 3 of the same classes. It gives me someone to talk to and her someone to hold her accountable and make sure she actually attends class. As in last semester the only reason she attending English is because I was there.

I am so ready for Lee to be home already. Not only is this the longest that we've spent apart since we've been together, but I think it's also the fact that we haven't even gotten to enjoy the fact that we're married yet. Two days after we got married he was gone. In military life, a month isn't that long, believe me I know, but that doesn't make it any easier. You get used to a person being around, having someone to talk too, the cuddles, and someone to pester.... and when they are gone for longer then a few days.... it starts to get to you. I've done really well keeping busy (thank god for school), but it kind of crept up on me today just how much I miss him and want him back home. Especially because all of his coworkers asked about him when I went in to drop off some paperwork. During the day, I miss him but I am okay, it's at night when it starts to get to me. Deciding what to eat for dinner or what show to watch on Netflix... I can't wait for him to be home.

What's new in your life? How are things going with your crafts?
