December Daily 2017 || Days 13-15
Happy Wednesday Dreamers!
As promised, here is a second blog post and video for today. I am trying my best to get caught up, but it definitely isn't easy. I have my stories all written out in my little TN insert, the problem is trying to figure out how to put the stories together and actually sit down and do it. I hope to have another video/post up in the next day or two.
All 3 of these spreads are super easy and super quick.
Day 13 was simple. I just used the Falala tag from Ali's November Story Kit add on's and added a wood veneer 13 from Felicity Jane, that I stamped in VersaFine black ink and then heat embossed with clear powder. I really love those numbers this year, I may have to order another set just to be safe.
The back side is just five songs on our holiday playlist. I used a digital snow fall stamp in Photoshop for the top and bottom and then wrote out our song choices. I added some black and white striped ribbon from Felicity Jane at the top of the tag and called it good.
Day 14 still needs a date on it. I plan on just using my roller date stamp and calling it a day.
My nephew took part in his school's rendition of "The Wiz" on the 14th and it was awesome. The elementary schoolers definitely blew me away with their talent (I could not have done something like that at their age) I printed a 4x6 photo I took of the stage and then created my own journaling card.
I used some alpha stamps from Hero Arts for the title and colored them in blue with a Copic Marker. After that I wrote out my journaling and used a thicker pen to underline it like Ali does. I added some music washi tape and a chipboard piece from a past Story Kit (Brave) to finish off this layout.
It was super simple and I didn't get many pictures. I spent the first half of the performance chasing my niece around the gym trying to keep her quiet (she's 2). After that my old roommate took her home while her mom and I stayed to watch Ry perform. We were super proud of him for participating in the play and I caught the last song on camera and you can see Ry dancing around and having fun.
Day 15 was super hectic for us. The music group I work for had our official launch party show at a local venue that night. Even though the show didn't start until 7:30 we were busy from Noon onwards. There were definitely some hiccups and lessons learned, but over-all it happened and was wonderful
The top photo is of my husband and his cymbals being on fire. It's a trick he does at any show whose venue will let him light them on fire, it's a crowd favorite. I just adhered a cork number on the front and a wooden heart from my stash on top of that.
Behind there is another handmade journaling card talking about the show. I stamped "Launch Party" in orange and yellow inks using that same Hero Arts alphabet and quickly wrote out my journaling. I think I might add more on the back later, but not right now. At the top right corner I added a "Joy" tab from a past December Daily kit and called that good.
The photo is one from our photo shoot last month with the new logo on the bottom.
