Week In The Life 2017: Tuesday

0504 || This morning brings us back to a more regular routine. Lee has PT (physical training for the Army, not physical therapy) this morning, which means he is up at 0500. It never takes him long to get ready and I always wake up when his alarm goes off. I'll take a nap after he leaves (most of the time) but since my body insists that I be awake at the smallest noise, I make sure to give him a hug and a kiss goodbye before he starts his day.
0730 || As usual, the insomnia has me more awake then asleep after Lee left for pt and I have finally given up and gotten up. My alarm isn't set until 0815 for class, but I am sure there is some gardening stuff that I can look at in the meantime.
0823 || Lee came home after pt for a quick shower and breakfast before returning to work. I really don't miss having to do that! I'm glad I got to see him before I headed off to class.
0838 || Stopped at the same stop light that I always catch when trying to get to school. I'm waiting for a green arrow so I can turn left.
0924 || Statistics will be the death of me. We have around a month left of class (or less) and I cannot wait.
1003 || People always look at me weird when I pull all of these out when taking notes. My brain works best with color codes and the different diagrams and what not. It makes it easier for me to separate the definitions, the different power point slide subjects, and things like that.
1132 || Working to be better about using my self-timer on my big camera. Trying to learn how to use my big camera since it's different then my old one. Wish me luck.
1150 || I went to get the mail and I love the flower pot on my front porch! Such a pretty pop of color in an otherwise drab green yard.
1215 || Coming upstairs to my new office to find my books for class. I really need to take the time to organize this place, but the common areas always come first.
1530 || After class I went to my Student Veterans Association meeting. After that several of us went across campus to check out the Ice Cream Social. The food truck ran out of funnel cake, but I did get this yummy shaved ice. The music was definitely not my style (struggles of going to college during this era of music), but it was amusing to watch the sorority/fraternity show off their dance skills in the middle of the event.
1909 || Lots of stuff done throughout the day once I left school, but I once again forgot to take photos. Like the pretty flowers I bought, the flag that is once again hanging from my house, and the new bar stools that I bought from someone. My husband snapped this photo of me eating dinner while watching a class on our iPad and eating dinner.
2252 || After watching a few episodes of Law & Order: SVU (again) we go about our nightly routine before bed. I check all the doors and the hubby gets the lights. We brush our teeth and change into pajamas. We have a conversation about weekend plans with the band before I turn Criminal Minds on in our room. Lee is asleep almost instantly and I'm left to browse IG on my phone until I get tired. A list of photos I wish I'd taken is present in my head and a promise to myself to do better tomorrow.
I ended up staying awake until midnight just browsing through Pinterest, but that is normal for me. I forgot that my phone camera still has a flash when in front facing mode until super late last night and I don't want to wake up my husband.
There are a list of photos that I wish I had taken and I will make sure to slow down and be more aware to take some of these pictures (especially my pretty new flowers). It seems my days are just flying by me (not a surprise really).
