Bullet Journal Supplies

Happy Friday Dearest Dreamers

I'm super excited because I actually managed to film, edit, and post a video today! I actually followed through with my 1 video a week/ 1 blog post a week goal that I set with this month (we're only on week 2... but it's a step in the right direction).

So if you go check out my YouTube Channel, you can watch my supply video here. I made a list of all my supplies, but for those of you that like reading a blog post better than watching a YouTube video, here is the list for you!

Leuchttrum 1917- I ordered my notebook on Amazon and it arrived a few days later. I chose the grey colored notebook, mostly because all of my notebooks are black and I wanted to do something different. I went with the A5 squared notebook and I am rather fond of it. It's what I am comfortable with because it helps me with the lines that I draw all the time. I also love the fact that it has a pre-made index, two book markers, and lots of pages (249 to be exact), which means that the notebook lasts me a while.
I know some people have a problem with pen ghosting on their pages, but it doesn't really bother me much. I just ignore it when I flip the page and continue on. The pens that I prefer have very little ghosting, but it is there.
It's pictured above covered in stickers.

Moleskine A5 Dot grid- I use this as a companion to my L1917 and it's strictly for journaling. I picked mine up at Barnes and Nobels because I didn't feel like waiting for a new journal to arrive.... and my particular B&N doesn't carry L1917's (but the one in Raleigh does..... so I'll just have to make a trip up there in the future). The pen ghosting is the same (in my opinion) as with the L1917, so that doesn't bother me.
What I don't like is the fact that there is no index (I would have to make my own if I wanted one), there is only 1 book marker, and there aren't as many pages. Otherwise, this is still a great notebook and I will continue to use it as a journal. (I got the Stitch sticker from Hot Topic)

Pen Case: My new main pen case is actually a makeup bag that I purchased from Target yesterday. I bought it because I needed a case that was long enough to hold some of my markers and the one I wanted from Staples was sold out when I went to get it. I like the design of this case and the fact that it's sturdy. I kind of like the tassel that is on the zipper, but I don't know how long it will be staying.

Zipper Pouch- I picked this up at Hobby Lobby in the bag/shirt section in the back of my store. I am using it for an accessories case to hold my ruler, my adhesive tape, my pencil, and my eraser. It also holds my headphones when I am at school and a charging chord for my iPhone.

Tombow Dual Brush Pens- I finally gave in and decided to order some of these from Amazon. People say that you can pick them up at Michael's in America.... but as usual my store is running behind and doesn't have the actual Tombow markers. I purchased the Grey Scale set just for something to start out with and so far, I rather enjoy them. I bought them because I want to work on my hand lettering and brush lettering and people speak very highly of them. I don't really have a problem with ghosting in my notebooks (in fact it's non-existent in my Moleskine notebook as long as I don't go over something a bunch of times)

Steadler Pigment Fine liners- I am not sure how long I've had these, but I can promise you that it's been a long while. I bought the 4 pack that houses the 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, and 0.7 sizes and I use these a LOT in my every day bullet journaling. I write everything (other than my color code boxes) in one of these pens and I use every size I have. These probably have the most ghosting in my bullet journal, but it really doesn't bother me like I mentioned.

Papermate Flare Pens- I've had these for a couple of months and I used to use them exclusively before I started using my fine liners. I have a very specific color coding system because that is just how my brain works and I love the fact that these come in such a variety of colors. I even find new color packs every once in a while. You can buy them at Walmart, Target, and your office supplies stores and they are pretty cheap. The only downside is that they ghost a little (something I can live with) and I haven't been able to find them for purchase individually (I bet I can on Amazon though).

So those are my main supplies that I use in my bullet journaling and in my companion journal. These are my go-to supplies and I always take them with me when I leave the house.

Some other supplies that I have:
* Mechanical pencil
* Steadler eraser
* ruler
* Tombow roller adhesive tape (for when I want to glue things down in my journal)
* washi tape
* The larger stickers (the Stitch one and the Belle on my March page) are from Hot Topic. That is where I buy most of my large stickers. The ones on my grey bullet journal are all from the bands that my husband's band has shared a stage with over the course of the last year.
I like to decorate the cover of some of my journals partially to differentiate them from the others (did I mention that I have a lot of black journals?) and also because they are a creative outlet for me and I just like the stickers.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to let me know!

Until next time
