Fun Story Kit- Family Fun

Happy Saturday Dreamers!

And Happy 1st of July!

Today is a busy day here in the Dreamer home. I just finished recording a flip through of my July set-up (will be posted tomorrow) and I also just finished a layout using the Fun Story Kit from Ali Edwards. This time around I was inspired by the guest storyteller Kelly Ishmael to do a spread involving my little family of my husband, our cat Elenor, and myself.

It's a one page 12X12 layout, but I'm still proud of myself for getting it completed today!

I made a 6X8 collage of photos of my husband and I (and one with our cat Elenor) and then shrunk it down to 5X7 so it would fit a little better on the page.

I then copied Kelly's idea of using the black and gold alpha letters and the acrylic word to write out "Family Fun" as my title. Below that I typed up a quick letter to my husband Lee in a 6" wide text box on word and printed it out on white cardstock.

I glued everything down using my tape runner on this Recollections 12X12 patterned paper called "Pink Multi Hearts" and added two chipboard pieces from the story kit.

My printer needs new ink, but I love the way this quick and simple layout turned out! I'm happy to put it in my book and mark another layout done! This is only my second time making a 12X12 layout (the first time was the "Ever-changing House on Charles Street") so I am pretty proud of myself. I know that my proportions are a little off and it's not perfect.... but it's completed and I like it!

Until next time!
