"You're Dino-mite" Lawn Fawn Card
Hello Dearest Dreamers
I hope that this post finds you well! Today I wanted to share with you a card that I made over on my YouTube channel. I have so much planned with the new direction of my shop and YT channel that I am so excited to share with you.
Starting this Saturday, 03 September, 2017- I will be sharing a Halloween themed card or craft over on my YT channel in celebration of my favorite holiday that shall be here in 64 days! ((Yes, I know how many days... but mostly because my wedding celebration is in 2 months from today exactly but that's a post for another day).
Today I am sharing with you a simple card I made with a dinosaur theme! I used the Lawn Fawn stamp set called "Critters From the Past" that I got in the mail around the time of my first haul video. Like I said, this is a very simple card, but it was a fun first card making video to share with you guys!
I used a regular A2 card base that I picked up from Michaels (I am looking to expand my card stock and cards to include more colors from other companies but that has to wait until pay day). I will link all the supplies down below for those that are interested!
As I say in the video, there are a couple of things that I would change if I make this card again (which I might because I think it's going in my shop later today).
1. Used a different ink to stamp the foot prints and the eggs. They weren't black enough and I needed to go over them with a parker.
2. Used the footprint outline from the stamp set instead of the solid footprint. This way I could color the footprints if I wanted to a different color (either purple or even rainbow would be fun)
3. Colored the dinosaur before I die cut it out ((believe me, I KNOW better... but I had a brain fart while making this card apparently)). When you watch the video, you can literally see me smack myself in the forehead when I realized my mistake with this one.
I apologize for the lighting of this photo. I need to set up a proper photography station in my studio!
I decided that I really wanted to use this "You're dino-mite" stamp set and the footprint outlines, so I decided to put them on the inside of the card. I love the way that this turned out, a message can still be handwritten around my stamping.
