Travelers Notebook | "My Best Friend" | Felicity Jane Joy Kit

Happy Saturday Dearest Dreamers!

I hope this post finds you well! I also hope you're staying warm. It snowed here on Wednesday/Thursday but I think it's finally melting.... hopefully it warms up soon!

Today I wanted to share with you a project that I made this morning! I was inspired by Essie Ruth to make a spread in my Travelers Notebook while using a single kit! I decided to make a spread dedicated to my husband, who is my best friend, using the Felicity Jane Joy kit from this past December! While it is supposed to be a Christmas kit, it is definitely made to be used with other projects outside of Christmas! There was a lot of black, white, pink, and green in the kit.

I printed off my photo and cut it down to 4.15"x8.15" to fit the left side of my spread.

Then I cut down all of my Joy patterned papers into various sizes. I chose a woodgrain pattern for this spread and cut it to fit the a small part of the right side of my spread. On top of that I cut down and layered two of the tags from the kit at various sizes. The flower pattern is definitely my favorite and inspired this layout!

At the bottom I added a black strip from the die cut pack as well as a red scallop banner below that, both cut down at the edge of the paper. I added the "Joy" chipboard circle next to that, since we're talking about my husband and our wedding.

I didn't really want to do any journaling on this layout because I feel like the picture and the title speak for themselves. I used the alphabet stickers that came in the kit and spelled out "my best friend" and put that on the woodgrain paper as the title.

I added some gold stars from the die cut pack and some red puffy asterisk stickers from the sticker sheet in three separate clusters to tie both pages in together. I added a heart from the Ali Edwards "For the Love Story Kit (sold out, we're on a new kit now) and a date stamp and called this layout good. I made it super simple and really like how it turns out.

There is a process video on my channel, or you can watch it below. In the video I also talk quickly about how I store my Felicity Jane kit and how I store my 12X12 papers.

Until next time!
