Sailing Home Cards
Hello Dreamers!
I hope you’re doing well in the new year? What are your plans for 2020?
Today I wanted to share with you a set of four cards I made using the Come Sail Away Suite from the annual catalog. When I got my catalog at OnStage last year this was the first suite that I was drawn too. Very neutral and blue is one of my favorite colors.
This time around I actually made FOUR projects. Partially because some of these projects are made using the Memories and More card kit as well as a small card.
This first card was made using the Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes. I am running out of Whisper White cardstock so this was my solution until my next order gets here. I cut a piece of Night of Navy for the background layer behind a 3X4 memories and more card. I also used the Thanks stamp in Crumb Cake and cut it out using a die from the bundle.
This is my small card, inspired by a card I saw in the annual catalog. This card measures 3.25X3.25” and is a top folding card using Mossy Meadow. I cut a piece of the designer series paper down to 3X3 and adhere it to the card base. Using coordinating ink, I stamped both the anchor images as well as the compass image. I used a small circle die from the Layering Circles Framelits and the coordinating anchor die from the bundle. I stamped the sentiment using Momento black ink and die cut it with a die from the bundle, adhering it using dimensionals.
This is another card made using a memories and more card. This is a top folding A2 sized card using Whisper White cardstock. I cut the memories and more card down to 3 13/16 X 5 1/4” and backed it with a piece of Balmy Blue cut down to 4X5.5”. I adhered them to the card base before adding three arrow stickers from the sticker pack that is included in the memories and more kit.
For this last card, I saw this memories and more card and knew that I wanted to use it. I don’t have enough cards that are made for men, so I figured that this would be nice for a masculine birthday or Father’s Day cards this year. This is probably the most simple card I made for this project.
I used a Night of Navy top folding card base that measures A2 sized. I cut down the card to be 4X5.5” and adhered it to the card base before stamping and die cutting an anchor in Night of Navy. I adhered it using some glue dots and this card is done!
See how easy these cards are? What have you made using this suite?
