Happy Birthday To You Pullout Card

Hello My Dearest Dreamers

I hope this finds you well. Another week has past, which means it’s time to share another card with you! This one was inspired by Ronda Wade during her Creative Convention 2020 that I signed up to be a part of.

These cards are kind of fun to make and can be used as a Birthday card or even a wedding congratulations card. It could technically be used for any kind of card, it just depends on your design.

I used the Happy Birthday to You stamp set from the 2020 Sale-A-Bration catalog. I am super bummed that this stamp set will only be around for a little while because I absolutely LOVE how these cards came out. I wanted to make different variations of the same card just to see how it would look.

I took my Basic Black cardstock and cut it at 5.5” the long way and then scored it on the 2” and 6” mark to fold it into it’s own little envelope. I used the Honey Bee DSP from the SAB catalog (but you can also find black and white striped DSP in the Botanical Prints Medley as well) and cut it down to 3.75X5.25” and added it to the front of the card. I then used the 3/4” circle punch to cut a tab on the front of the handmade envelope to make it easier to pull out the insert.

To make the insert you cut a piece of Basic Black down to 3.75X5” and a piece of Whisper White to 3.5X4.75 and layer them together. You can punch a small hole and tie a ribbon to the insert but I decided not too.

I then took a piece of Whisper White, stamped the cake image, and die cut it out using the 3rd largest Stitched Rectangles dies. On one set I cut out a separate sentiment word panel using the 3rd largest of the smaller set of dies from the same bundle. I used some Stampin’ Blends to color each of the cakes.

LEFT card:
Cake stand: Bronze
Cake: Pool Party Combo
Flowers: Highland Heather Combo
Leaves: Mossy Meadow Combo
Rose buds: Real Red Combo

RIGHT card:
Cake Stand: Bronze
Cake: Crumb Cake Combo
Flowers: Calypso Coral Combo
Leaves: Mossy Meadow Combo
Rose Buds: Real Red Combo

On the left insert I stamped Happy Birthday with little paint splatters while the right insert just has paint splatters.

I think that these are unique cards that can be given to friends and family and I plan on making more in the future.

You can order from me here. Make sure to order your supplies before the end of Sale-A-Bration or while supplies last!

Until next time
