Craft Day- teaching newcomers to make cards
Good morning dearest dreamers!
I hope you’re having a good Friday! I can’t believe that it’s already Friday and the weekend is upon us. It’s been a busy week for me, getting ready to start a new job. I’m ready for the change in pace, that’s for sure. It’ll be nice to have more income with all this COVID stuff and my husband being off work for over a month while his store was closed.
One of the best things for me, when it comes to my Stampin’ Up! business, is when I get to share this crafting with new people. I have a family friend, M, who is getting married next year and she wants to make her wedding invitations and such, so she looked to me for help. She and her future mother-in-law N (who also happens to be one of my good friends) came over yesterday so I could do some work on planning their invitations.
We ended up starting with a birthday card for N’s grand son because his birthday party is tonight. I’m friends with the whole family, so I’m excited for dinner tonight.
So we started making the birthday cards for the grandson, G. Cassi (my usual helper) was also there and she and I made your typical birthday cards. She used the Cute Fruit stamp set from the Beginner Brochure and I used Zany Zebra’s from the same brochure.
N and M blew us out of the water. Once I recommended looking on Pinterest for some ideas, they blew us out of the water. G really loves lego’s (what 5-year-old boy doesn’t?), so N made him this awesome Lego card using some squares she cut out, some Clear Epoxy Dots, and a past Paper Pumpkin stamp set from last year. Isn’t it awesome?!? M used some basic circles and squares and created this robot card! I was thoroughly impressed by their card making skills, that’s for sure.
So now we have to start working on designing M’s invitations, since I am helping to make them. But they both are now really into card making and I LOVE sharing this passion with new people. It makes me so happy and I can’t wait to get together with these ladies again to make more crafts!
