Recipe: Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken
Hello friends and Happy Tuesday!
Today I wanted to share with you a recipe that Mo and I made this yesterday and I've decided that Tuesdays would be my day to share recipes! It was super yummy and it didn't even take that long to make! You can find the original post here

((sorry for the lack of pictures, I forgot to take some before I ate it all!))
Ingredients:
- 5 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs ((the original recipe calls for 8, but we only made 5))
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste ((we used regular salt and pepper))
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced ((we minced Garlic ourselves, but I suggest you get it already minced))
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme ((We only had ground thyme, but it worked just fine))
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
Directions:
- 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- 2. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper, to taste.
- 3. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large oven-proof skillet over medium high heat. Add chicken, skin-side down, and sear both sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side; set aside.
- 4. Melt remaining tablespoon butter in the skillet. Add garlic, and cook, stirring frequently, until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in brown sugar, honey, oregano, thyme and basil until well combined. Return chicken to the skillet.
- 5. Place into oven and roast until completely cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 175 degrees F, about 25-30 minutes.
- 6. Serve chicken immediately.
This was a super easy and super yummy recipe. If made correctly, you can taste the garlic brown sugar flavoring even if you take the skin off (I don't always like to eat the chicken skin)). It was super juicy and I cut through it really easy. It was perfect!
