December Daily: Days 5-8

Happy Tuesday Dreamers!

Two posts in one day, that is kind of rare for me this year. Haha. If you didn't already catch it, my first post of today was my 2017 Memory Keeping Plans.

I just finished getting everything done for another process video! This time I'm sharing days 5-8! I was going to include day 9, but there was a little too much for that and the video was already 25 minutes long.

December Daily Day 5 - The Diary of A Dreamer

Day 5 was pretty simple for me. The photo on the top left is just a picture of our daily lives lately after work. Lee comes home and plays video games while I watch Ali Edwards class videos on my laptop. I just wrote a little bit of journaling with a Slick Writer pen.

The top right photo is just a shot of mine and Lee's feet at the gym. We decided to start going to the gym together after he gets out of work every day and I wanted to document that. I felt that "just do it" tiny word sticker from Studio Calico was most appropriate. This came from a previous kit that I got back in like 2014 and just never used.

The journaling card is from the Jasmine Jones digital mini kit. I just did my journaling on the computer and then printed it out. I used my Staples date stamp and put it on the bottom on the card.

Here is a look at the entire spread for Day 6.

Day 6 was all about our rhythm guitarist's 24th birthday. He had no idea what we all had planned and it went off without a hitch. Brandon, Roger, and Cheyanne drove down from Raleigh to meet Lee, Josh, and I for dinner and to give Brandon the birthday present from everyone.

I used mostly the Surprise Story Kit throughout the majority of this spread and the spread for Day 7. The title card on the top left is from the Surprise kit. I just added some plain black Thickers to put the date.

The top right photo is just of Roger holding Brandon's new guitar. It's a PRS (Paul Reed Smith) guitar that is cherry red, and that is all that I know about it. Lee picked it out with the help of our favorite lady at Guitar Center. I didn't do anything to that photo.

The 4X6 photo is of the entire group minus Cheyanne (she is taking the photo). We went to mine and Lee's favorite Japanese restaurant called Samurai. I added a Recollections label and just wrote that it was most of the group.

This is the other half of the day 6 spread.

The top left photo is Brandon's reaction to his new guitar. I just used the "OMG" stamp from the Surprise stamp set. I stamped that with Staz-On ink and it's the first time I've stamped directly onto a photo. Go me!

The top right photo is just Brandon holding his new guitar. I used the "EPIC" stamp from the same stamp set on another one of those Recollections labels.

The 4X6 card is also from the same story kit (this one just happened to be digital). If you didn't know: if you buy both the Story kit and the matching stamp set then you get the digital kit for free. I just did my journaling on the card using Ali's favorite Remington Noiseless font and printed it out. I didn't really feel the need to embellish the card any further.

I used the Surprise Story Kit here as well. It's just so versatile and I had two back to back stories of Surprise.

I just used the plus filler card from the set and then slipped the red 7 into the pocket from one of Ali's past December Daily kit.

The photo is of my new Blue Microphone that Lee bought me. All I added to this photo was just some black glittery washi tape to the top and bottom of the photo. I love this microphone, it's how I've been recording my process videos, and I really wanted to document it in my December Daily album.

The card I used for the 4X6 was originally just a 3X4 that I adjusted after watching a tutorial by Ali from the same kit. I added the border lines myself to dress the card up a little bit before I did my journaling by hand. I'm not really liking the way my handwriting looks so I might redo the card. At the bottom I just used two stamps from the stamp set and stamped them down. You'll hear me talk in the video about how it wasn't dark enough so I went over it with my Faber-Castell PITT artist pen in the big brush size to darken it.

Day 8 is the last day for this post and the video.

That card comes from the Paislee Press digital mini kit from this year. I just wrote out that I spent the day working on my December Daily album and then recorded my first process video. The stamps in the top of that card are both from the 2014 December Daily stamp set.

The top left photo is my attempt at something that Ali does a lot... getting myself in my album. I set up my phone on my computer desk and used the self-timer on the phone to snap a photo of me at my craft desk. I added some left over scrap of white card stock and taped it onto the bottom of my photo for journaling. I added some blue rhinestones from Recollections that I bought at Michaels.

The bottom 4X6 is just the thumbnail photo for my YouTube video of my first process video. I didn't mess with this photo at all.
