Scrap Your Heart Out Feb 2020 Retreat

Good Evening Dearest Dreamers!

I hope that this post finds you well! I hope you’ve had a good weekend as well. Mine has been tons of fun, because I got to spend it at the Feb 2020 Scrap Your Heart Out Retreat hosted by my upline Elaine. Elaine is the mastermind behind Paper Crafts by Elaine, and she is the reason that I got into Stampin’ Up! in the first place.

You don’t have to be a demonstrator to attend one of her retreats, but don’t be surprised that a bunch of us know each other. We either have met at her monthly day crops, met at past retreats, or we’re all part of the same Paper Crafting team. Elaine hosts retreats twice a year, once in the Spring and once in the Fall. She also holds a day crop at the beginning of each month, and those are fun as well.

Since I just got home a coupe of hours ago, I wanted to share with you about this weekend’s retreat. I sadly didn’t take as many photos as I have in the past, but I did get a LOT of work done this weekend.

SYHO 2020

This is what my table looked like when I showed up. Elaine knows me well enough and she kindly always puts my back to a wall, this time I got the corner table. Part of your retreat fee goes towards a SU order (which you can see in the left of the photo). She also always gives you little treats, this year was a wooden picture frame that she made each retreat guest with a spot to put the group photo from Saturday evening. Everyone gets a name tag with their Prize Patrol number on it, and a little goodie bag. This year it was all stuff you might need, some headache relief, a wet wipe in case you made a mess, some band aides, and a lucky poker chip that you got to put in for a prize drawing.

The theme for this particular retreat was Poker, so we had a lot of fun finding poker chips to place in the prize drawing bags!

I got to sit with some of my friends, my MIL Debbie and my friends Debbie and Brenda. We definitely had a blast! It would get slightly confusing with the two Debbies, but we made it work.

One of the projects that I was determined to work on this weekend was a set of Thank You cards for my monthly card class customers. These cards are featured in tomorrow’s blog post.

SYHO Mexican dinner

Debbie P (the lady right across from me) always has to visit this particular Mexican restaurant when we’re at Elaine’s crops or retreats. It’s kind of a tradition of sorts.

SYHO Cupcakes

A highlight of these retreats are when Elaine’s husband cooks or bakes for us. He really does spoil us! These are some Red Velvet cupcakes he made using the Heart Shaped tins from the Spring 2020 Mini Catalog.

Elaine and Cindy made multiple meals for us while we were there, several lunches and dinners. They were delicious! Did I mention that they spoiled us?!?!?

SYHO 2020

I got so many projects made this weekend and I am super excited. This is a look at our group picture, which is always fun! Trying to fit a group this big into a picture is always an adventure. I will be sharing a look at the projects that I’ve made over the course of the upcoming weeks in hopes to inspire you to use your products to make some pretty projects!

I even managed to convince my MIL to sign up as a hobby demonstrator under me! This is always exciting.

I can’t wait to attend the one in the fall!

Until next time!
