Good Morning Magnolia | 2 More Cards

Good Morning dearest dreamers!

I hope you’re doing well! Can you believe that May is already here? Part of me thinks that April took forever to get here, and another part is like “how is it already May?” This quarantine stuff if just throwing me off! Today is my final exams and I cannot wait until they are over! I am desperately hoping that I make a good enough grade on my Finance project to help me pass the class…. but that is a rant for another time!

Lately I have been really having fun playing with the Good Morning Magnolia suite. I am not sure why it’s taken me so long to get around to playing with it, but it’s better late than never, right? Today I have two more cards to show you (technically three because of a slight variation). I scoured Pinterest for some inspiration and went from there in terms of creating my cards.

These were two unique cards that I really enjoyed making. I don’t have a lot of the DSP, and I should probably order more before it all retires, but this was a good start on using more of the DSP.

I did use repetitive products in order to make these two cards. I used the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle, Magnolia Lane DSP, Petal Pink cardstock, and Mossy Meadow ink.

This card was pretty fun to make. I got to switch things up and use some circle dies to make holes in the top layer. I did use a flower cut out from the DSP on the bottom part of the card.

This card is a side-folding A2 sized card base. I cut the pink stripped DSP to 4X5.25” as the bottom layer behind the cut out layer and a piece of Whisper White at the same size. I randomly cut out three circles in various sizes and places on the card front to kind of make a window-like effect. I cut out some leaves using the dies in Mossy Meadow to layer behind the flowers. I stamped and cut out two flowers to go with the one I cut from the DSP to fill the holes. Using the “thanks” sentiment from the stamp set I stamped that on the Whisper White layer.

These two cards are mostly the same with a small variation. It really depends on where the flowers are on the DSP that determines where the sentiment panel was placed.

Also a side-folding A2 card. Using some Momento Black ink, I stamped the big magnolia on both card fronts. Then I cut two pieces of Petal Pink to be 2.5x5.5” to layer behind a piece of DSP cut down to 2X5.5”. On top of that I placed the sentiment panel, cut with one of the Nested Stitched Label Dies.

These cards are super simple and fun to make! And you can interchange all the sentiments to fit your needs! That’s the beauty of card making!
