Good Morning Magnolia

Good afternoon Dearest Dreamers!

I hope that this post finds you well! I’ve been hard at work recently working on my business in preparation for the new Annual Catalog that will become available to customers on 03 June 2020. This means that I am going through all of my current products and trying to bust out products with things I haven’t used yet or things that I want to use more of.

The products in the Good Morning Magnolia Suite have been available since the 2019 Annual Catalog was released last June, and I am seriously kicking myself in the pants for not getting to it before now. I got caught up in the “ooh shiny” syndrome when the new catalogs get released, especially for the holiday catalog… this means that the annual catalog can sometimes get pushed to the back burner. There were so many amazing bundles and suites in the 2019 annual catalog that I didn’t really get to everything when I wanted to.

Like this bundle… why am I JUST NOW getting to this bundle? Trust me.. I don’t know either!

Since this suite is part of the retiring list, I wanted to make sure that I used it’s products before they are gone. I am hoping that the stamps and dies are coming back, but I won’t know until the catalog gets to me in the next few weeks. Demonstrators get to pre-order some of the products on 06 May 2020, and I beyond excited. But before this new catalog is available, I want to make sure that I use the products that are currently available.

I used a lot of the same products for these cards. You can purchase the suite here or buy the products individually while supplies last. (Please note that due to the pandemic some things are on backorder are unavailable for purchase right now, like inks and blends. If there isn’t a link at the moment it’s because they currently aren’t available but I know that they will become available again as soon as possible)

Stamp: Good Morning Magnolia
Dies: Magnolia Memories
DSP: Magnolia Lane DSP
Cardstock: Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White
Blends: Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink, Crumb Cake
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Crumb Cake, Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow
Rhinestones: Basic Rhinestones colored with the blends

The first card that I made is a side folding A2 sized card using Mossy Meadow. I cut a piece of Petal Pink at 4X5.25” as a layer underneath the actual card panel, which is 3.75X5” of Whisper White. I cut a second piece of Whisper White to fit across the panel and stamped on it using Crumb Cake with a sentiment from the stamp set. That was also backed by a piece of Petal Pink. Before I adhered the sentiment layer I stamped out two rows of flowers and colored them using the Petal Pink Blends before adhering the sentiment banner. I used three different sizes of rhinestones to add embellishment to the card as well, coloring them with the Dark Mossy Meadow blend.

This is probably my favorite card that I made out of this set! It’s simple, but sometimes those are the greatest cards.

I used templates that you can purchase from Kylie Bertucci to decide on the dimensions of this card. These templates have become incredibly handy in my card making and they’re only $5.00 Australian, definitely worth it! They take the guess work out of layering sizes!

This is a top folding A2 sized card using Whisper White as a base. I cut the Mossy Meadow using the Flirty Flamingo (3.75X5”) template and the smaller Whisper White layer using the Daffodil Delight (3.5X4.75”) template. I then stamped and die cut the Magnolia, coloring it with the Stampin’ Blends mentioned above. To finish off the card I stamped the Hello sentiment in Mossy Meadow and added some rhinestones.

The last of the three cards was made as a Mother’s Day card. It has a side folding A2 card base made from Petal Pink. I then used the same templates mentioned above to cut the Mossy Meadow layer and then a Whisper White layer, which was then cut down using an edging die from the bundle. The Whisper White piece was layered over a piece of DSP also cut with the Daffodil Delight template. I used Petal Pink ink to stamp out the sentiment and the edging piece, before adhering a flower that was stamped, die cut, and then colored with blends. I also colored some rhinestones with a Mossy Meadow blend before adhering them to finish off the card.

This entire suite has so much potential and I will be back next week to show you some more cards that were made with this suite!

Want early access to the upcoming catalog? Demonstrators can preorder from a selection of products starting on 06 May 2020. If you want to be able to do have early access to ANY Stampin’ Up! products before they’re officially released AND you want a 20% discount on your purchases, you can join my Stampin Up! Team here! On top of the 20% discount (and that’s just starting out, it increases as you achieve a new title) you get first access to all upcoming products, specialized training to make this a business (although it’s totally fine if you’re a hobby demo and only join to fund your own stamping habit), plus other goodies!

Did you know that May’s Paper Pumpkin sold out early? If you want to purchase June’s kit, make sure you sign up here in order to get one before they are gone! Paper Pumpkin is a great little subscription box where they send you everything you need in order to complete the pre-designed projects. It definitely takes the guess work out of it! You usually get cards, but sometimes you get other 3D projects as well.

Until next time!
