Returning Product | Casing the Catalog

Happy Monday Dearest Dreamers!

We have reached the beginning of another week, and I hope that you all had a great weekend.

Sometimes, in the excitement of a new catalog and a bunch of new product, we sometimes forget about the stuff that we already have. I love seeing the product that carries over, because it usually means I get to create with it for longer (especially if it originated in one of the mini catalogs).

Today I am sharing with you three projects using three different sets of returning product!

The nice thing about a new catalog is that you get some new projects to take inspiration from! Which is what I did with these projects. I wanted to show you simple projects and I really liked how these turned out.

Tropical Oasis 3x3

The first card was inspired by a 3X3 card I found on page 37 of the catalog using the Timeless Tropical stamp set.

I modified the card with different colors as well as stamping a background stamp.

I cut a 3X6” Balmy Blue card, scored at 3”. I used the smaller flower and stamped it in Balmy Blue ink for some Tone-on-Tone stamping. I then stamped the palm trees using Early Espresso ink before coloring with Dark Granny Apple Green and Light Soft Suede Blends. I use a scrap piece of Crumb Cake, stamped the hello sentiment using Early Espresso ink, and then cut a fishtail banner end.

Incredibly simple card to make and this would be nice to just say hello!

Painted Poppies Gray

The Painted Poppies and Peaceful Moments bundles were very popular in the recently retired 2020 Spring Mini Catalog. I am so excited that they both returned because there is still soooo much that can be done with these stamps. This project inspiration can be found on page 18 of the catalog.

I used a Gray Granite card base, cut 5-1/2 X 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”. I used a Whisper White panel cut to 4 x 5-1/4” before stamping the Poppies and leaves in Memento Tuxedo Black towards the middle of the panel. I color the flowers using Petal Pink and the leaves using Pear Pizzazz ink before adhering a piece os DSP from Tasteful Textures at 5-1/4 x 3/4”. Using a label from the Painted Poppies bundle to die cut a label out of Pear Pizzazz and stamped the sentiment before adhering the panel using dimensionals.

Seaside Notions Thank You

This last card was fun to make. It was inspired from a layout on page 70 of the catalog, but since I didn’t have that stamp set I decided to use Seaside Notions (found on page 36- same page as Timeless Tropical).

I started with a Coastal Cabana base at 8 x 5-1/2”, scoring it at 4-1/4” and stamped the back using another tone-on-tone technique. Using a Stitched Rectangle frame, I cut out a piece of Crushed Curry. I used a spare piece of Whisper White to stamp the images (using Terrecotta Tile, Rococo Rose, and Crushed Curry) before cutting them down to 1-1/2 x 2-3/8”. I spaced these white panels out across the Crushed Curry panel before adhering it with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment on a Stitched Rectangle panel of Coastal Cabana, before adhering it to the card.

Also simple cards, but fun for the beach or sea lover in your life.
