December Daily 2017 || Days 4-6
Happy Friday Dearest Dreamers!
I hope this post finds you well. I am getting ready for an ornament decorating party that my husband, dearest friend Sarah, and I are hosting tonight. I just wanted to drop in real quick and share with you a look at my pages for days 4-6!
I am really proud of myself for keeping up this year, but I think that's a mix of prior planning and my renewed dedication to memory keeping. This is the most process videos I have filmed for 1 project before and I am proud of myself. I also think it helps that I am using more digital products, which means I have a bigger variety of options.
Let's get started shall we?
Day 4 has four 3X4 pockets and then a small insert.
The top left card is a digital download from the Sahlin Studios Document Your December Journal Card Sets. I heat embossed a number 4 wood veneer from Felicity Jane with some Recollections Cherry Embossing powder and then adhered it in the middle of the ornament.
The top right card is a journaling card from the same Sahlin Studios Digital kit. Here is where I wrote my journaling about decorating the house and how much fun Lee and I had.
The left picture is of two pieces of my super small Christmas village (the story is mentioned in the journaling) and the picture on the right is a latern from our wedding that was spray painted black and filled with some ornaments from Michaels. The word phrase stickers are from a past set (and sold out) but here is a link to this years bundle!
The insert has two 4X6 pictures. The first one is our table decorations that I picked up at The Christmas Tree Shop this year. The second photo is of our mantle. We bought the garland at Walmart (it matches our tree perfectly) and our stockings are from Target. Lee immediately wanted the Star Wars stocking while I got the white one. We still need to hang a smaller one for Elenor.
Day 5 was fun and super easy. It was all about Starbucks and their awesome flavored hot chocolate! I have never been one for coffee (don't shoot me. I know that's odd... especially in the military AND as an Air Traffic Controller) but I love their hot chocolates, frappaccinos, and their refreshers. On this day, I stopped by the store I used to work at and decided to try out the Snickerdoodle hot chocolate. LOVE IT.
I used one of the 6X8 digital templates from Ali Edwards and made some adjustments to fit my story. I changed the Love to be all red in the top left corner, I added a digital phrase sticker from the 2017 Paislee Press Mini Kit, and typed my journaling. On the right I added a photo I took of the red cup and below that is a photo I took of the white cup that came out at the start of the season (I love both).
Below that I found a generic photo from Starbucks with the holiday cups and used that. Over the top I added the Merry and Bright word art from a digital file from the Storytelling With December Daily workshop that I took last year.
Day 6 was SUPER simple. I didn't really have anything going on so I decided to tell the story of our wrapping paper this year and about my Christmas shopping thus far (please note, if you can read my journaling, I have since started buying presents for people and getting them wrapped up and ready to go).
The December is a digital stamp from the Storytelling With December Daily workshop, the 6 is a digital cork number from the Main Kit that I recolored, and the Joys of Giving was a digital brush I had in my stash (not sure where it came from as of this moment).
Here is a process video I made for you guys. I am terribly sorry about the terrible lighting in the video. Good news. My new studio lighting is supposed to be in today and then I shouldn't have any of these terrible lighting issues that I have been having! Super stoked about that!
