Botanical Prints Medley

Hello Dearest Dreamers!

Happy Wednesday! I hope this blog post finds you well. Today I wanted to share a gem of a suite that is in the 2020 Spring Mini Catalog! It’s hidden away in the back and I definitely almost missed it.

The Botanical Prints Medley!

Botanical Prints Medley

While I felt that the Medley was a little pricy, once I got to playing with it I felt that it was worth it. I spent some time at the retreat making sets of cards. This set was inspired by Kylie Bertucci, but I did try to make them a little different.

I really seemed to enjoy batch processing cards this weekend, having done that with most of the sets that I made.

I used the colors of the DSP that comes in the kit, Crushed Curry, Terracotta Tile, and Pretty Peacock. I won’t even lie to you, I really didn’t like Terracotta Tile until I made this project…. then it kind of grew on me. These are side folding cards that I just turned on their end (if that makes any sense).

I cut the card bases at 4.25X5.5” on the short side of the paper. I cut 3 pieces of Whisper White cardstock to be 4X5.25” to go on the inside for a place to write. I then took Basic Black and cut it down to 3 7/8 X 5 1/8” to back all of the DSP, which was cut to 3 11/16X 5.

I used the Stitched Nested Labels dies (in Basic Black and Crushed Curry) to make the sentiment label and the piece behind it. I used the 3rd and 4th biggest dies. I used a stamp from the Botanical Prints Stamp set for the sentiment and the lemon piece.

I am pretty stoked about how these cards turned out and I will be very sad when this Medley retires. Thankfully I still have a lot of supplies left to make more cards before that happens!

Until next time!
