Music From The Heart

Happy Friday dearest dreamers!

I hope that this post finds you well. To those that celebrate it, Happy Valentines Day! I am doing my best to sit here and knock out some cards using various stamp sets in the January-June 2020 Spring Mini Catalog. There are so many amazing products, especially if you add in the stuff from Sale-A-Bration, that it’s hard to make sure I use them all before they retire in June. Today’s set of cards was all made using the Music From the Heart stamp set, which is a Million Dollar stamp set inspired by Stampin’ Up! demonstrator Dawn Olchefske.

Anyone who knows me in real life knows that not only did I sing for 6 years throughout middle and high school but my husband is also a musician. So this stamp set definitely caught my attention when I was going through the catalog.

These cards were fun to make and I even made it a point to pull out the Stampin’ Up! Notecards for one part of the project!

All of these projects use Whisper White cardstock and the Music From the Heart stamp set.

The first card that I am sharing with you is this red “just a note” card.

I used an A2 side folding card base in Whisper White. The Poppy Parade panel was cut using the largest of the Stitched Rectangle Framelits. I used Poppy Parade ink to stamp some music notes on this layer and adhered it to the card base, adding “just a note” in Momento Tuxedo Black ink. I also cut a Whisper White panel and a Basic Black panel using smaller dies from the same Framelit set. Using Momento ink, I stamped both the treble clef and the guitar neck on the Whisper White panel and used a Dark Poppy Parade Blend to color in the heart. I popped this black and white panel up on dimensionals and centered it on the card.

This next card was inspired by someone on Pinterest.

This is a side-folding A2 sized card base in Whisper White. I also cut a Basic Black panel (4X5.25”) and another Whisper White panel (3.75x5”). I used a piece of black ribbon from my stash to put across the white panel. I used the Heartfelt Punch Pack to cut both the scalloped hearts (using Blackberry Bliss) and the regular hearts.

I used the stamp set to stamp on both hearts before adhering them to the Blackberry Bliss hearts. I used the coordinating ink to stamp the sentiment on the bottom of the Whisper White panel, as close to the center as possible. I colored in the heart on the treble clef with the Dark Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blends before I adhered the hearts together using some Snail. After that I popped them up on dimensionals and adhered them to the card front.

The last project I made using this set is using four of our notecards and the 2019-2021 In-Colors (minus Purple Posey because the ink pad isn’t currently available). These cards were super easy to make and really quick. I used Rococco Rose, Terricota Tile, Pretty Peacock, and Seaside Spray inks.

I used Gray Granite ink to stamp the music notes randomly on the front of the notecard. I tried to make a pattern, but I am not that talented today apparently. I then made two cards using one sentiment and the other two using another sentiment just to see how it all looked. I stamped hearts in the coordinating ink that matched each of the sentiments.

A single layer card just alternating ink colors.
