Seriously the Best | Using Up Your DSP

Happy Monday dear friends!

Are you excited for the 2020 Annual catalog, which becomes available this week?!?!? I know that I am! While working on moving all the retiring products out of the way in order to make room for incoming products, I got to thinking. I still have quite a bit of DSP left over from the 2019 catalog…. how am I going to use it all up?

I was inspired by Sara’s projects during the Stampin’ Up! Day of Service projects using the Share Sunshine PDF. She made a point to use a pack of DSP, cut it down to 3 different sizes, and make a whole bunch of cards from just 3 sets of DSP. This is a wonderful way to use up that DSP.

For this project I decided to use the Seriously the Best stamp set from the 2020 Spring Mini Catalog. It will be retiring on the 2nd of June, so make sure you get it while you can!

Left Cards: I used two pieces of the Bird Ballad DSP. The DSP is cut down to 4X5.25” and the sentiments are cut using the Stitched Nested Label Dies. The left card is made using a Pool Party base and the sentiment is stamped using Bermuda Bay ink. The right card is made using a Petal Pink base and the sentiment is stamped in Bermuda Bay as well.

Right cards: These cards were made using the Garden Lane DSP. I layered the DSP onto a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock, both cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies. The sentiment panel is cut using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and stamped using Garden Green Ink.

Seriously The Best | InColors 2020

If you’ve been over on my Facebook Page or read this blog post, then you’re familiar with this card. I made this using the new 2020-2022 InColor’s and a new stamp set. I used the Thanks sentiment here.

Seriously the Best | Perennial Essence

I used the Perennial Essence DSP and the Congrats stamp for this set of cards. I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss and die cut it using a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Framelits.

I love how simple these cards are to make and they’re helping me bust through my stash of DSP.
