Friendly Flamingo

Happy Tuesday Dreamers!

I hope you are well. I really need to find other ways to start my blog posts… they are all starting the same, aren’t they?

Today’s card is inspired by my friend’s love of Flamingo’s! Like, she is obsessed with flamingos. When I saw the Friendly Flamingo bundle in the Occasions catalog I actually squealed and then sent her a sneak peak. I giggled for a while after that because this bundle was PERFECT for her.

I was inspired by this card on Pinterest when making this. I definitely struggled with finding the right sentiment for this one, so for the moment I have left it off and just focused on the flamingo.

The card base is a standard A2 sized card using Whisper White and scored to be a side folding card. I cut a card panel using Flirty Flamingo cardstock (how could I pass that up) and stamped on it using coordinating ink. I stamped the flamingo at first and added the little flower when I decided the flamingo wasn’t enough.

I then layered a piece of Basic Black and Whisper White and added dimensionals after stamping the main flamingo. I figured the front was also too plain so I added some pink enamel dots from a past Paper Pumpkin kit (the only pink ones I had) and called it good.

What do you think? Is it too plain?

Until next week,
